There follows a summary of a presentation given on 30th July 2026 by the chairman of Wycombe for Fairtrade, Mike King, to undergraduate Level 5 Responsible Business international students at Buckinghamshire New University.

Mike King was invited by the course leader, Dr. Favour Evwerhamre to deliver this 1 hour 30-minute Fairtrade and Sustainability lecture and discussion focusing on his 18-year experience of Fairtrade advocacy.

Students were engaged and attentive inspired by Fairtrade Devine chocolate samples to aid concentration! Despite a video embedded in the powerpoint slide presentation failing to display, student feedback and response was very positive.

Both the Course Leader and the module leader, Adrianna Flores, were enthusiastic to continue my contribution and input during the 2026/2027 academic year with an invitation to deliver similar content to a Level 3 Responsible Business undergraduate group in October 2026.

This was a very enjoyable, rewarding, and constructive session, communicating with young people from different cultures and international backgrounds. I am looking forward to further collaboration with these and other academics in the College of Leadership and Innovation at Buckinghamshire New University in the future.
