- Reply has been received from Hazlemere Co-op. The film and photos taken at our stall on 6th March are for their internal use only
- The article co-written by a member of the group has now been published in the Journal of Fair Trade (July Edition Vol 7 No.1)
Treasurer’s report
- Donation has been given to the Fairtrade Foundation for materials ordered for Fairtrade Fortnight
- Our Costa Rica partnership banner is showing wear and tear. Proposed to replace this and also to arrange one for our link with Kelkheim
Social Media
- Can do some targeted promotion to send our website out to more people
- Possibility of linking our Facebook account with an Instagram one
- Observed that items of local interest attract most attention
- Try to put posters up in town to advertise our events
- Also announce these in church services
- Can post events on Wycombe Pulse and arrange for them to be published in the Wycombe Life magazine
Future events
- Suggestion to arrange showing of the ‘National Emergency Briefing’ film
- Arrange person to speak about Fairtrade at local groups such as WI, U3A, National Trust etc
Fairtrade Fortnight 21/09/26 – 04/10/26
- Try to arrange stalls – perhaps at the Library, Wycombe Museum, Sainsbury’s
- Hazlemere Co-op have asked if we would like to hold a stall
- Arrange for information about Fairtrade Fortnight to go onto our website. Also to advertise our own events
AOB
- Member of the group attended the launch event of the Bucks New Uni’s College of Leadership & Innovation. This took place at the Brunel Engine Shed on 10th July. Photos to be posted on our website
- Potential to hold a stall at the Marlow late-night shopping event before Christmas
