Use of Funds
- discussion re: use of funds – possibly to support a small advertising campaign to raise awareness of this year’s Fairtrade Fortnight (21st Sept – 4th Oct). Also to support the attendance at the next International Fair Trade Towns conference in Belgium
Social Media:
- not many visits to our website since the new year
- nearly 400 followers on Facebook but these don’t necessarily interact with us
Bucks New Uni:
- no response so far to the pitch given to students re: the second promotional video for our group
- perhaps increase focus on climate change and sustainability in our next pitch and why ours would be a good project to do
- discussion on amount of money required for a university to acquire Fairtrade status
True Origin seminar:
- one group member took part in this. Free samples were sent from True Origin prior to the webinar
- the webinar included information on 2 producer groups that True Origin have taken on: Sunshine nuts in Mozambique and Black Mamba in Eswatini
Midcounties Co-op video:
- now scheduled for 6th March and should be at the Hazlemere store
- could perhaps put together a table of Fairtrade goods available in the store and hand out Fairtrade leaflets and our group flyer
Pann Mill Open Day:
- we will be holding a stall at the Open Day on May 10th
- potentially running a tombola with Fairtrade prizes again
Events at Christ the Servant King church:
- we will be holding a Fairtrade stall after the 9am and 10.45am services on 1st March
- we will also be holding a Fairtrade quiz at the Wednesday coffee morning on 4th March
AOB:
- the Grecia/Wycombe mayoral on-line meeting has been confirmed for 25th March and a translator has been arranged
