- Discussion re: low number of visits to our website in May
- Recent twinning of Wycombe and Kelkheim on a Fairtrade friendship basis may spark more interest
- Need to increase knowledge of our group amongst the people of Wycombe
Hazlemere Co-op
- E-mail has been sent to Midcounties Co-op to ask for feedback regarding the stall we held there on 6th March
Pann Mill stall on 10/05/26
- Sale of Fairtrade products was good and the Tombola was popular
- The £50 voucher from Midcounties Co-op helped towards the cost of prizes
- There were a good number of people throughout the day
Renewal of Fairtrade Town certificate
- Application needs to be completed by 7th September
- A list of our activities since October 2023 has been compiled
- The Kelkheim and Grecia/Coope Victoria links will be included in the future plans
Kelkheim link
- The remaining signatures on the Fairtrade partnership agreement between Kelkheim and Wycombe will be added on 8th June
- The Kelkheim logo will be added to our Fairtrade pamphlet which lists stockists and catering outlets etc in Wycombe
Wycombe/Costa Rica link
- Contact has been made with 2 new managers at Coope Victoria
- Work is progressing on re-establishing a link between a school in Grecia and one in Wycombe
- Coope Victoria has won a top prize for its coffee, at a coffee conference in Peru
AOB
- a PhD on the current state of the Fairtrade system is being funded at Northumbria University
- an article co-written by a member of the group is hopefully to appear in the July edition of the Journal of Fair Trade
- a member of the group has taken part in a webinar chaired by Andrew Sachs on 23rd April about the UN Charter
